The Great British Archaeology Comic Book

I worked with the Council for British Archaeology to write and illustrate the ‘Great British Archaeology Comic Book’ for their Festival of Archaeology, an event that was part of a partnership with the Shout Out Loud project.

Young people were invited to send the Council for British Archaeology a drawing on the theme of ‘what do you picture when you think of archaeology?’ We had submissions from people ranging from 7 - 21. I then wove the various drawings into a story about Mordeo, a Roman dog brooch who is adjusting to his life as an archaeological artefact!

You can read more and download the comic here!

Shout Out Loud is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund through its #KicktheDust programme designed to encourage and involve more young people in heritage.
